Miguel’s Tour de Musica

This design challenge had us envision a new theme park ride. With that story in mind we focused particularly on the queue design and how that supports the ride story. Miguel’s Tour de Musica is inspired by the story of Disney’s film, Coco. Through this ride queue we explore Miguel’s hometown of Santa Cecilia as they are getting ready for Dia de los Muertos. Guests travel through the streets of the city onto the plaza where Miguel is the headline performer in the holiday’s music celebration. The tour of Santa Cecilia leads guests into the mausoleum where they are then transported to the Land of the Dead and onto the ride’s adventure.
